Designed and built by students.

A small group of students at Western Albemarle High School has decided to build a small, functional, mobile home. The home itself is able to house a singular individual or a couple, giving a functional living space with the needed items. 

The broad perspective.

Students at Western learn how to communicate, work together and problem solve in order to design and build a tiny house. Each student has had shop experience of 2 years or more with the teacher Mr. Matheny, learning the basic technical skills needed to complete this task. Our students learn the lifelong-learning skills they need to succeed as 21st century learners, workers and citizens.
